This inter-war photograph was taken in the High Street at Church Stretton, close to The Square. The Plough Inn can be seen to the left, a building that still stands but is no longer a pub. A woman is arranging a table-top display in the adjacent premises. On the other side of the street was the butchery and fish retail premises of F. Baldwin and Son.
